We would love you to join us Whether you’re a seasoned performer, a behind-the-scenes pro, or just curious about getting involved, there is always something you can do.
As a company, we tend to perform two shows a year—spring and Autumn—with smaller concerts on an ad hoc basis. You can join in with as much or as little as you like as a member. An annual membership fee of £30 entitles you to exclusive updates on upcoming shows, concerts, and social events via our members’ email group and members-only social media pages. You will also receive our members newsletter. Membership fees will be due by 31st May 2025.
We rehearse on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and some Sunday evenings closer to the performance dates. Rehearsals are usually at Frodsham Community Centre from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday rehearsals are for the full cast (6-9 p.m.).
Cast members pay a show fee for each show. This fee varies from show to show depending on the size and scale of the production, but it covers each cast member’s contribution to the costs incurred during the rehearsal period.

I have always enjoying singing and performing, a regular from the age of nine in the local pantomime group. Taking a break to focus on rowing at University, I joined The Zodiac when I returned home to Cheshire.
Why did I pick The Zodiac from all of the other local societies? I had grown up watching individuals such as Valarie (our President), and many others who are still members to this day, putting on first rate shows. I wanted to give audience members the same feelings that watching a Zodiac show gave to me.
I joined in 2010 for Kiss Me Kate playing the role of Lois and couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. Over the years, I’ve played a variety of roles on stage as well as being on the Committee; first as Treasurer and now Membership Secretary, only missing shows to have my two children.
The Zodiac is like being part of an extended family. Many of us had the privilege to share the stage with our parents, others perform with siblings and even grandchildren. Some even met their husbands/wives in the society.
The beauty of the society is that you can be as active a member as your life allows. You feel part of the society whether you are an active onstage performer, part of stage crew, Front of House team or just a regular in our concerts/singing events in the local community. Popular events are Christmas singing at the local Tesco and summer singing in the park. Our Christmas party has also become one of the hotly anticipated events of the calendar with great fun had by all.
We perform two large scale shows each year – Spring and Autumn. We typically rehearse on Tuesday (Principals) and Thursday (Ensemble) evenings with some Sunday evenings closer to the performance dates.
Whether you join us for one show or for life, you will always be made to feel welcome so please do get in touch, come down to a rehearsal and we’ll be more than happy to chat with you.
