Synopsis
Sister Act is a dazzling musical comedy sensation inspired by the beloved 1992 film, guaranteed to get audiences on their feet! It features electrifying original music from Tony and eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken (Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors). When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she’s swiftly put into protective custody at the last place anyone would expect: a convent! Dressed as a nun, she clashes with the strict convent life and the no-nonsense Mother Superior. But with her fabulous disco moves and soulful voice, Deloris revives the church choir and the community. However, her cover is blown, and soon her pursuers are hot on her trail, facing off against Deloris and the unstoppable force of her sisterhood.
Packed with powerhouse gospel music, outrageous choreography, and a heartfelt story, Sister Act will leave audiences exhilarated. The cast is bursting with dynamic roles for women of all ages, making it a perfect pick for high schools and community theaters. A sparkling testament to the unbeatable strength of friendship, Sister Act is a reason to CELEBRATE!
