We’ve had a glow-up!

You might have noticed our socials have had a little bit of a makeover, and so has the society! Founded in 1968, we have built a rich legacy as a registered charity (Charity Number: 500502) committed to producing high-quality performances, from classic musicals such as “Half A Sixpence”, “Carousel” and “The Sound of Music” to contemporary gems such as “Legally Blonde”, “Elf” and “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical”. Whether it’s an old favorite or something fresh and exciting, we put our heart and soul into every show, showcasing the incredible talent of our performers, musicians, and creative teams.

But now… it’s curtain up on an exciting new act!

After years of being known colloquially as Zodiac Musical Theatre while officially operating as Zodiac Amateur Operatic Society, we knew it was time for a brand refresh — one that reflects who we are today.

We listened carefully to our members who told us what truly matters to them: community, friendship, belonging, and the feeling of being part of something special.

And so, say hello to our new name – Zodiac Theatre Group!

It was important to us to honour our history by keeping “Zodiac” in our name – way back when, it was chosen as a collective name for all our stars!

And that’s not all! Along with our sparkling new name, we’ve unveiled a vibrant new logo, an eye-catching colour palette, and a sleek new website — lovingly crafted by our incredible members. A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life!
